We're So Back

If you follow my mastodon account, you might know that one of the reasons development stopped so suddenly was because I had intended to rewrite what little I had done using the Bevy game engine. Well, I bashed my head into that wall for a while but eventually came to the conclusion that Bevy just doesn’t have the UI amenities I’d need for Cathode. That all is to say that I’m back to working on the original Tauri version of Cathode....

Still Alive

Hi there! Jeez, it’s been a while, huh? The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that the next version of Cathode did not, in fact, come out before the endf of 2022. Indeed it seems like very little has been done since I made that blog post. To make a boring story short, balancing school and work ended up being more work than I had thought, and really limited the amount of time I had to work on any side projects, Cathode included....

Version 0.1.0 Released! 🎉

Cathode version 0.1.0 has been released! You can download it here! The full change log is available here Screenshot of the new settings pane This version introduces a settings pane with a few configurable settings. These should help to make Cathode more flexible for more people, and there will be more settings added in the future. More useful tooltips! The tooltips for the frames are more useful not useless now as well!...

New Look!

cathode.tube has a new look! This sleek Hugo theme is provided by adityatelange on GitHub. I think it looks really nice and provides a lot of extras and ways to extend the theme. Obviously, there’s also a blog now! I’ll be posting updates and releases here in the future, as well as on the Gitea repo. I’ve taken a bit of a break from serious development recently (all of my classes are in full swing at the moment) but I intend to continue working on Cathode as time allows....
